If you did not know, Bolivia is a large exporter of gold, in 2020, Bolivia exported $1.25bn of gold (The Guardian 2024). 

Notwithstanding its beauty, we want to remember the importance of sourcing ethical gold, and send a huge message of love to the tribes who today are affected by the mining industry. More and more mining deals are being approved even across Bolivias protected areas in the amazon. Reserves around boomtowns like Mapiri, Teoponte and Guanay have been depleted, and pressure to move into the parks has grown.
